Biotium Cytokeratin 6A (KRT6A) (Basal Cell Marker)(rKRT6A/2100), CF594 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
This MAb recognizes a protein of 56 kDa, identified as cytokeratin 6A (KRT6A). In humans, multiple isoforms of Cytokeratin 6 (6A-6F), encoded by several highly homologous genes, have distinct tissue expression patterns. Cytokeratin 6A is the dominant form in epithelial tissue. Cytokeratin 6 and 16 are expressed in keratinocytes, which are undergoing rapid turnover in the suprabasal region (also known as hyper-proliferation-related keratins). Cytokeratin 6 is found in hair follicles, suprabasal cells of a variety of internal stratified epithelia, in epidermis, in both normal and hyper-proliferative situations. Epidermal injury results in activation of keratinocytes, which express KRT6 and KRT16. KRT6 is strongly expressed in about 75% of head and neck squamous cell carcinomas. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dy

Biotium Langerin / CD207 (Marker of Langerhans Cells)(rLGRN/1821), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Langerhans cells (LCs) are a subset of immature dendritic cells (DCs) that specifically localize in the epidermis and other mucosal epithelia. Epidermal LCs possess strong immuno-stimulatory capacity and play a central role in the initiation and regulation of immune responses. Langerin (CD207) is a Ca2 -dependent, C-type lectin domain containing, type II transmembrane protein that induces epidermal LCs to differentiate into Birbeck granules (BG). BGs are organelles with superimposing and zippering membranes that influence proper class I type antigen presentation to the circulating T cells. Human spleen, lymph node, thymus, liver, lung and heart express Langerin protein. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have

Biotium Cytokeratin 20 (KRT20) (Colorectal Epithelial Marker)(KRT20/3145), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
This MAb recognizes an intermediate filament protein of 46 kDa, identified as cytokeratin 20 (KRT20). KRT20 is abundantly expressed in goblet cells and enterocytes of the gastrointestinal tract. It is a useful marker of pancreatic and colorectal cancer. KRT20 is expressed under normal, hyperplastic and neoplastic conditions. It has been detected in adenocarcinomas of the colon, stomachand biliary tract. Breast carcinomas are generally non-reactive. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.

Biotium CDX2 / Caudal Type Homeobox 2 (GI Epithelial Marker)(rCDX2/1690), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
The intestine-specific transcription factors CDX1 and CDX2 are important for directing intestinal development, differentiation, proliferation and maintenance of the intestinal phenotype. CDX2 protein expression has been seen in GI carcinomas. Anti-CDX2 has been useful to establish GI origin of metastatic adenocarcinomas and carcinoidsand is especially useful to distinguish metastatic colorectal adenocarcinoma from lung adenocarcinoma. However, mucinous carcinomas of the ovary also express CDX2 protein. It limits the usefulness of this marker in the distinction of metastatic colorectal adenocarcinoma from mucinous carcinoma of the ovary. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give hi

Biotium ROR-gamma / RORC (RAR-related Orphan Receptor C)(RORC/2942), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
This MAb recognizes a protein of 63 kDa, identified as ROR-C. Its epitope maps in between aa1-50. The nuclear orphan receptors ROR and ROR are members of the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily. Members of this family act by directly associating with DNA sequences known as hormone response elements (HREs) and typically bind DNA as either homo- or heterodimers. RORalpha and RORgamma are unique in that they bind DNA as monomers. RORalpha has multiple isoforms that share common DNA and putative ligand-binding domains, but differ in their amino terminal domains, which are generated by alternative RNA processing. RORgamma comprises a 560 amino acid protein that shares 50% amino acid identity with RORalpha and is most highly expressed in skeletal muscle. Although these proteins are considered orphan receptors, due to a lack of defined ligands, experimental evidence has shown that melatonin may be the natural ligand for these nuclear receptors. Primary antibodies are available puri

Biotium Cycloxygenase-2 (COX-2)(COX2/3232R), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Prostaglandins are a diverse group of autocrine and paracrine hormones that mediate many cellular and physiologic processes. Prostaglandin H2 (PGH2) is an intermediate molecule in formation of the prostaglandins. Cyclooxygenase-1 (Cox-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (Cox-2) are prostaglandin synthases that catalyze the formation of PGH2 from arachidonic acid (AA). Cox-1 and Cox-2 are isozymes of prostaglandin-endoperoxidase synthase (PTGS). Cox-1 is constitutively expressed in most tissues and is thought to serve in general housekeeping functions. Cox-2 is efficiently induced in migratory cells responding to pro-inflammatory stimuli and is considered to be an important mediator of inflammation. Both enzymes are targets for the nonsteroidal therapeutic anti-inflammatory drugs, NSAIDs. COX2 expression is significantly increased in 85-90% of human colorectal adenocarcinomas whereas levels of COX-1 are not changed. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluores

Biotium EGLN1 / PHD2(366G/76/3), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
This antibody recognises human prolyl hydroxylase 2 (PHD2), a 46 kDa enzyme expressed abundantly in all tissues with the highest expression in testis. Hypoxia inducible factor-1 (HIF-1) is a transcriptional complex, consisting of an alpha and beta subunit, which plays a key role in coordinating the cellular response to hypoxia. During normal oxygen conditions, the alpha subunit of HIF-1 is rapidly degraded, however when hypoxia occurs this degradation is suppressed and HIF-1 activates the transcription of various genes important for survival and adaptation to hypoxia. Prolyl hydroxylase 2 catalyses the hydroxylation of specific prolyl residues within the HIF-1 alpha subunit, thereby targeting this subunit for degradation. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Biotium Cathepsin K (Marker of Tumor Invasiveness)(CTSK/2792), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Cathepsin K is a lysosomal and secreted cysteine proteinase involved in bone remodeling and resorption. This protein, which is a member of the peptidase C1 protein family, is predominantly expressed in osteoclasts. However, the encoded protein is also expressed in a significant fraction of human breast cancers, where it could contribute to tumor invasiveness. Mutations in this gene are the cause of pycnodysostosis, an autosomal recessive disease characterized by osteosclerosis and short stature.
